my gauges do not work

I have a 1988 Ford Ranger. For some reason my gas, oil pressure, temp and voltage gauges do not work. The dash lights work fine. Also my windshield wipers do not work. The strange thing is periodically everything comes on for a sec but the wipers are very slow when they come on. I have checked all the fuses and they are good. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but My truck has been sitting for several months. does anyone have a clue as to what is wrong?

Sounds like either low voltage or poor ground. Check battery voltage, first. A fully charged 12V battery should have 13.2V.
