identification help for pins on window power switch Sign In

I have passenger side window power switch out of 1999 Buick le sabre and I am trying to ID the pins for a reuse on something else . It has 5 pins .I have a general idea how momentary switches work (6pin) but I could not find any schematic info on this 5pin . I will add a picture hoping my thinking of connecting the wires is right. If not please can someone tell me the correct way.
Thank you !

Thank you for your answer !
I do not have the wires and connector
you show. I have to make my own.
so did I understand things correct in the
new picture below to connect it correctly ?

That's not the way windows are wired as you can see in the wiring diagram.

The power supply is dependent on the position of the master switch.

 thanks !
so I cannot use this switch independently and add my
own connection to use as a basic momentary switch for
small 12 volt motor in a doll display I was trying to build
for my granddaughter ???

Sorry, the site server went down for a short period.

These switches reverse polarity to change direction so you can't have dedicated power or ground.

well I get the reversed polarity but does that not happen by flipping the position of the input in the switch at the top or bottom INSIDE of it and the change of flow direction by pushing the knob to either side?

Re: identification help for pins on window power switch Sign In

First of all thank you for trying to help.
I found the manufacturer of the switch and called them directly.
Their tech confirmed to me: If I run my own wires with a jumper,
as I thought, it functions like a basic momentary switch. Only
difference in the 5Pin is that I do not need the positive jumper to
reverse that polarity since it is built in .
added pic Thanks again
