heater control unit

i need help somebody i am having a new heater control unit fitted to my rover 25 w/2000 1.4 i have purchased the unit myself i asked a mechanic to fit it so he ordered me some new cables because mine are broke but he cant give me an accurate quote can anybody help and tel me how much i should pay at the most i dont want to be ripped off

Bringing your own parts to a shop is like bringing food to a restaurant and wondering how long or well it will come out AND how much it will cost??
You should have asked for a diagnosis of what the vehicle needed first as it might have only needed the broken cables replaced and then some time estimate might have been possible. Ask again or do the work your self with parts YOU brought,
