headlights and blower moter fading in and out Sign In

i have a 1993 chevy cavalier 2.2 engine 112000 miles my headlights and heater blower motor fade in and out kinda like a flashlight does when batteries are weak i have installed a new battery new ground wire for battery new alternator new headlight switch new serpentine belt and new headlights still nothing could it be a fuse problem or computer problem?

Sounds like it could be a ground problem I looked real quick and didn't any common grounds. The main ground for the heater is on the backside of the block by the starter, the headlights is up under the dash on in the center on the drivers side. Take them both apart and make sure the connections & surfaces are clean and tight on the reinstall........

thanks for a quick response i will try and see if it works if not i am wondering if fuses or fusebox might have something to do with it

It's possible. Any where you get excessive resistance in a circuit will cause a voltage drop and give you electrical problems. If you aren't familiar with the process but have a volt meter, if you google voltage drop testing I'm sure you would get some good info.

Doing this kind of testing on the circuit when it's failing would help find the problem, if the grounds are good I would probably also be looking at the ign switch, they had their fair share of problems with those.........
