head lights go off

My son has a 2007 Pontiac Gran Prix and will be driving and the low beam will just go off. He still has high beams and can not turn them back on by switching from auto to low beam. They will just come back on and then work fine for a while. I took it to the dealer but they couldn't find anything wrong. Any suggestions on what it might be. Thanks

They couldn't find anything wrong because there wasn't anything wrong at the time you had them look at it. If it's an intermittent problem, then it has to be tested while the problem is present or they will find nothing.
