My alternator and battery are good but when I drive at night with headlights on alternator isnt charging. HTF are we to guess if you don't say what this thing is? My crystal ball says it has nothing to do with a fusible link at all if it will charge at all but not enough. Try getting the alternator tested and bet you find one of the three diodes in the trio of them is bad, pretty much meaning you would need to get the set and replace them or a new alternator after testing shows it's bad.
