Altenator went bad. had replaced. got the old altenator tested, worked fine. since putting in new one, same thing happening again, smell of burning is back. There is a short somewhere, can't find. Any suggestions. If this is an electrical smell, you should have it checked immediately. Oil leakage, on the other hand, can smell like something is burning, too. Regardless, for your own safety and peice of mind, have it checked out.
