electrical power keeps cutting off completly . . . . PLEASE HELP. . . . .

car was running fine. i tried to hide something under the steering column. i touched a few wires, not enough to pull any out or cut any. as i starterd the car it turned right off. i turned the key on and it started fine. i thought it might of been bcause i was parked down hill and i was low on gas. i was driving and i notice the radio was off i turned it on and notice the settings were reset. didnt think nothing of it. put gas and car started fine. thought problem was fix lol
was i wrong.got home and try to leave again. i started the car and it turned off again. but this time when i tried to restart it, the car had absolutley no power, no gauge lites or anything. thats when i realize i might of touched the wires underneath. so i tap them then the power flickered. so push on some wires and their as constant power. as i was driving i notice the radio power was flickering on and off through the drive but i didnt notice anything in the car drive power. i was at a lite about 3 mile into the drive and the car turns off at a red lite. no power again so i try to tap wires again. nothing.... some good people help me push into parking lot. the car has absolutley no power. no hazards no brake lites no anything except for a beep that sounds like the one when the door is open and the key is left in the ignition. but a little lower and maybe alittle faster. but when the key is turned it turns off and thats when their is nothing. i was messing with wires for about an hour but nothing, i checked for anything unplug(which i found one plug but could not find what it plugged into) i also looked for cut wires and pushed all connections to make sure everthing was plugged in properly. i gave up and i started to put all the wires neatly back, including the little computer about the size 5x3. and this little black box started clicking. i looked up and the hazards wer blinking and all power was back. i continue putting all wires away hoping whatever i touch might will let me know what is loose, but nothing. i started the car and went home. i tried to still find the problem but i could find nothing. car keep starting fine.
this is where it gets good i leave again. the car is running perfect. but as i was turning left into a drive to bust a u turn the car and all power shut off. i try to mess with wires again, this time nothing. my friend comes and helps me push. we wer about to check battery to see if connections were good but didnt have proper tools. i was waiting for my mom to use her triple a. i slamed the hood close and the instant it latched, the headlites and hazards came on. i got in and car started fine. i had my mom follow me home just incase it stopped again. and now the car is still thier. it still starts. but i want to fix it because i dont want it to happen to my girlfriend and the kid when by themselves.
so please if anyone has any type of knowledge i would really appreciate it. i know mmechanical basics. but can learn if i know what im looking for. i live in socal la puente. so if any locals i will be willing to pay, have a cold beer and a good home cooked meal. money is really tight for my family and I. but i am willling to work things out for the help. thanks
