Ihave a 99 yukon and when u hit the brakes with no key in it the dash lights will come on. When I turn the ignition on and turn the right blinker on the dash lights will blink also. When you turn the headlights on and turn the right blinker on it stays on.Sometimes it will make a buzzing sound. I replaced the flasher fuse under the dash. I was told that it was the turn witch mech on the steering colum so I got one. I was in the process of replacing it.For some reason or another I checked it after Having the lower dash and steering colum cover off.The blinker was working fine.The only thing eletrical I un plug was the harness to the headlights. I drove the truck for two days and back too the same thing?

It sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere. If one circuit has a bad ground and it winds up going thru another circuit to ground it will usually energize that circuit it's using...

You can look at a wiring diagram to see if there are any common powers or ground for these circuit to narrow your search....

You mentioned dropping a panel and things worked ok? If thats the case take that panel down and check the grounds in that area, you may have a loose one. Also the ones on the "A" pillar (by the kick panel) and see if any thing turns up.....

Hi, I have also seen broken filaments in dual filament bulbs touch causing this same thing to happen. It causes a backfeed in the circuit. Double check that all of your parking lights work. You may want to remove the stop/turn bulbs one at a time and turn the directional on. If the problem still persists, it could be a wiring or a ground problem. If the problem goes away, replace the bulb and see if it fixes the problem.
