driver's side running lights - front and rear

2001 Buick LeSabre Custom. 3.8 v-6. The running lights on the driver's side(both front and rear) have stopped working. I still have operating turn signals and brake lights on that side but when I use the key fob, for example, to open the doors and all the running lights are supposed to flicker, the driver's side front turn signal and rear running lights do not light. The passenger side however works fine. I have checked all the lamps and they are in good condition. I am stumped. Any suggestions?

Quote">> I have checked all the lamps and they are in good condition.<<" Just how did you check the bulbs (lamps) - looks isn't enough. If these are easy to get to put one that works from the other side in and vs verse and see what happens. Then if nothing check the sockets with a test light and appearance that they have both power and ground. Suggestion - If you do find it's the bulbs do all of them as they only have so many hours of life if known all the same age. Use dielectic (silicone) grease to preserve them or you can get pig-tail ends if you find it's the sockets, T

Thanks. I'll give that a try tomorrow. My confusion over this is that this is occurring on one side only. I wasn't sure whether there were a short or fuse that I should be looking for.

It could happen . Fuses - sure check them but I doubt there are separate fuses for left and right running lights, T

Tom has some pretty good advise here. I saw a guy waste a ton of time tracing down why all 4 headlights wouldn't work on a Cadillac once. When he was 1st starting I asked if he had tried a headlight real quick. He turned around and bit my head off saying "what are the odds of all 4 lights going out at the same time!!!!!".............. In that case..........pretty damn good...............lmao My theory was they burned out the low beams, kept driving on the highs only, lost 1 high, kept driving, lost the other one and were forced to bring it in & of course didn't say sh*t about it........

actually i've run into quite a few cars having seperate fuses for rt & lt marker lites, not sure if yours is one of them though. but it would be worth it to check the fuses
