cruise control quit working

98 GMC 1/2 ton, 4x4,5.7 litre,189000 miles. is there a relay under the dash? sounds like theres one flickering under there when the cruise is activated. just started acting up this week.

Don't know of any specific cruise control relay.
Check all the fuses.
Fuses in instrument panel fuse block #1,#6,#18 marked, Stop,Cruise,Brake.
Just for laughs,,check the 3rd stop lamp.Not sure on this vehicle but on some GM vehicles,if the high level stop lamp is inoperative,the cruise control wont work.
If not,then you'll need to have the system scanned for any trouble codes and diagnostics performed on the system.
