car window Sign In

Hi all

After some advice if anyone can help.

It looks like someone has tried breaking into my mums car by trying to force open a window (whilst in a car park). The windows is electric and now the button for opening/closing isnt working. We've managed to shut the window for now but it keeps falling back down.

Is there something we can do to keep the window shut or does it need replacing? If it does need replacing how much would this cost?

FYI, the car is a Vauxhall Meriva, 57 registration, rear passanger window and is tinted.

Thanks in advance.

It probably has a broke regulator and that will have to be replaced. I can't tell you anything specific because that car isn't sold here.

Archi - welcome to the site. Watch for dates as many are old and should be fixed by now one way or another.

No bragging but I'm good with door work. Hate newer stuff as it usually means a whole regulator. My old stuff you can fix stuff the way it should be IMO.
