brake light proplem

I have a 2007 chevy 1500 silverado pickup small v-8, 60,000miles. right rear brake light stop working. all other lights work on right side work. turn signal & brake light blub are same, an use same socket. all blubs are new. trace wires all are ok. left side working fine. turn signal,backup and flashers all work on right side. could it be the socket for the brake light & turn signal?

Probably a bad combination switch in the steering column.
