blown fuses Sign In

1993 GMC pick up 1500 4x4, 5.7L, 472,000km.
The turn signal fuse 15amp blows when putting the truck in reverse.
Does anyone know what might cause this. Thanks

it sounds to me like u have an electrical problem ! i have never heard of that happening lol .. but you learn new things every day lol.. u could have 2 wires touching eachother .. which are postive and negative .. try checking out all your wires just to make sure!! before u take it in to the shop.

A guess on this one: Reverse makes back up lights go on of course AND you are using the brake pedal to shift so brake light is on which also may be involved with directionals at rear lighting.

Being a truck - if trailer wiring was added that could explain some mess up with the splicing if done that way - just a guess,
