Here goes, I have a 2005 chevrolet colorado 3,5 ( 5 cyl) 205k miles. I was resetting the computer by removing the battery cables. Well stupid me when I was going to reattach the cables, I had attached the positive but I got the negative cable too close to the positive terminal with cable attached. Small spark was from + to - cable, windshield wiper moved 6 inches and stopped. mega fuse (100amp) blew. I replaced the mega fuse and tried to start the vehicle. Nothing happens when I turn the key to start ( except my running lights turn on) any advice? What else to check, Did I blow the computer? Thank you John80501

What were you trying to do in the first place? There is no reason to try to reset a computer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
