Durango headlights and interior light flash

I have a 2002 Dodge Durango (4.7L) with 130,000 miles on it. My problem is when I am driving with the headlights, or parking lights, on all the lights will flash bright (interior and headlights). This does this intermittently and when it does this the only light in the information center to come on for a split second is the "door ajar" light and that flashes on and off with the other lights. Could it be the headlight switch?

hey
it could be your head light switch but I'd be more inclined to check the operation of all your door jamb switches ,make sure you open and completely close each door individually while watching interior lights operation , drivers door hinges wear out on these vehicles as well there have been many problems with the door latches and strikers themselves , is there any play in your door/s, also GEM module problems (generic electronic module) but still I would check and lubricate the door jamb switch .hope this helps.Todd
