Ok I need help. I have a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer Premium with a 4.6V8 and it just hit 70k miles. Since I've had it(3years now) it has had an Astrostart remote starter on it that has worked great. About 6 months ago I installed a additional 12v plug under the passenger side dash so I could use my power inverter. Everything was working great until this morning, I was cleaning out the car so it can be shipped back to my hone state and when I reached under the dash to unplug the inverter my wedding ring contacted the positive and negative plugs on the back side of the after market power supply. I didn't think much of it cause it was real short. A few hours later I tried to start the car with the remote and just got a honk from the horn. I then tried to start it with the key and every time i turn the ignition on the hon honks and won't stop until I remove the key. After looking around I realized that I ran the additional power supply off of the ignition wire on my autostart constant power. I am running out of time to get this resolved so any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in Advance for any help that you can give. P.S. The only thing that I have done to the car since I started having the problem is removing the 12v power supply that I installed but got no change.

You just have to find the fuse that you blew. Use a test light and test every fuse at both ends.
