I have a 1990 toyota carolla srs it has about 150,000 miles on it. For some reason after I drive it for more than an hour it wont start, it wont even crank but all the lights come on. If i let it sit for about 20 mins it will start up, I am pretty sure that it is not over heating because of the temp gauge. If I don't want to wait the 20 mins to start the car I can jump it. The battery has been replaced. Help if you can.

Did this happen with the old battery? If it takes a jump and works there must be a problem with the connections at the battery or perhaps a strange problem with even a new battery.

There could be a problem with the starter motor that is heat sensitive but that doesn't explain why it would work with a jump??
