My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee is having a window problem. Actually it is the buttons that control the windows and door locks. It does not work. It is acting like it is dead. It does not lock or unlock the doors. It does not open or close the windows. There is no noise like a motor running when I try. I think it could be electrical or a fuse. I look in my manual and it lists fuses, but nothing is marked for driver door panel. Can anyone help? Motors for these just alternate which side is power and which side is ground. First check that any power get to the controls. If on driver's door sometimes if all fuses checked out the wire with break in the usually rubber snorkel where they bend in door jam but that's much more common in vehicles with some miles and driver's door controls with high use of opening and closing the door. If controls are on a console in the middle still check for power. No power than chase back to the master power supply and relay. Should be listed in owner's manual where they are or we can try to find locations. Test light should be all you need. Check fuses with the test light not just by looking at them - should light on both sides when item should be able to work. All are failing to work. Does that seem like the wire in the door? Would all of them stop working? Some in center consoles and some have the master on driver's door. Master overrides all the others so if it has an issue the rest will or fuse or relay but I doubt they are shared in one? That is relays wouldn't be shared but a main power supply might be that get power into the interior. I have to guess as I personally don't have master software as retired I'm not paying for it anymore.
