Where is defrost switch?

Hi all, I have a 1996 Cherokee Sport 4.0L 4x4 with 2 doors. I have the car for a year and a half I cannot find the rear defrost switch. The rear windshield has a defrost , I can see the black lines running across the window attached to a wire which runs underneath the trim. I am the second owner, the first owner was my aunt who certainly didn't mess around with anything. Was this car built without a switch? thanks

I have a 97 and it's right next to the rear wiper switch. It's a button with squiggly lines on it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I doubt the wires are there and it didn't come with a RWD. See if owner's manual mentions it. I don't know Jeeps for squat first hand with much but it may automatically come on with windshield defrost? T
