I have a 200 Toyota Camry with a 4c engine with 173000 miles. Two problems:

1. the "bulbout" dash light is on even though there are no bulbs out.

2. When I am driving and apply the brakes the "R" on the transmission indicator lights up.

I have a 1992 Camry XLE with the same problem. I recently had the front brake pads replaced (2-weeks before problem started). Replace all the tail and brake lights. Still have the problem. I'll follow your threat. Hope we can get this figured out. I hate to loose this car.
