I am installing four of link deleted ... not allowed to my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. They are 12v 40w each. I would like to connect them all to one relay, and thus one switch. Will a 40 amp relay do the trick? Total newbie here - if possible could you explain the calculation/math that answers the question yes or no so that I don't have to bother anyone with this type of question in the future? Thank you so much!

P=I*E 40=I*12.6V I=3.17A 3.17A*4=12.17A A 40 amp relay would be more than capable of handling that. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
