Hiya peeps.. I'm new to this site so please bare with me..

I've just Installed a water temp gauge pod in my 1999 Peugeot 206 1.6glz using an upper radiator hose adapter for the 1/8 sender to screw into but have noticed that once the thermostat kicks in and the sender starts picking up on the temp it shows the coolant is at around 98 - 110 degrees celcius yet the dash temp gauge only says its about 85 - 90 degrees.. Is it normal for the upper radiator coolant temp to be hotter?

This vehicle not sold where most regulars are here. No matter. I'm guessing you are talking about a sender for temp into to dash view. If not in the proper location all bets are off. Why did it require moving?

Why on Earth would you install a temp sender after the thermostat. You will not get accurate coolant temps there.

I installed it there because that was where the instructions suggested.. Am thinking now it would be better to get a t piece and install it with the oem sender.. Would this give an accurate reading? Cheers

Get the right sender and replace the broken original. You plain wont get accurate info AFTER the t-stat. May take a tool to remove the broken sensor/sending unit and if up high you don't need to totally drain cooling system - just low enough to not make a mess,
