Turnsignal and headlights Sign In

The car is a 1929 Mercedes Gazelle Kit car it is built on a 1978 Beetle chassis, Manual trans, engine. The wire is kit car wire harness. I did not build the car but have the diagrams
Problem:
When I use the turn signals on the passenger side it will blink “bright” when on which it should. When I use the driver side turn signal it will blink but is “dim”.
When the turn signals are used and I apply the brakes the turn signals will stop blinking.
When I have the lights on, the turn signals stop working
I am check for shorts in the wires but have not come up with anything. Any ideas?

Re: Turnsignal and headlights Sign In

You likely have a bad ground for the lights on that side.

Meaning the light socket could have a bad ground or the wiring could be causing the short. What is the best and easiest way to determine where the ground issue is located?
