The right rear light does not blink when the turn signal is on (the front signal flashes too quickly) or when the flashers are on. It doesn't light for the brake either. And when the head lights are turned on, the light is brighter than the left signal, as if the brake were on. The left side works fine. I replaced the bulb (the old on had one filament burned out, though the problem started before the bulb went bad). I'm guessing a short. If so, is there a way for someone who is handy but not an expert to figure it out? Turning the bulb took care of the light being too bright when the head lights are on, but did not solve the turn signal/flasher/brake problem. If the test light flashes, either the bulb is bad again or the ground going to the socket is bad.
