Starting Problems.

I have a 2002 Chevrolet Impala, engine is a 3.4. The problem I'm having is that when it rains all kinds of crazy things start to happen. For example, the service engine goes on, the electric locks won't work, The change oil light goes on, the security light goes on. And now when I went to start the car during a rain storm, it did not start. I turned the ignition and nothing happens. It acts like there is no battery in the car. But there is a new battery in there. When I tried to start it the first time, there were no lights lit on the dashboard. So I checked the head lights and they worked.
I left it alone, then when it stopped raining I went to start it again. But this time when I turned the ignition key the usual lights on the dashboard went on, but the engine would not do anything. I left it alone, called my nephew so he can give me a jump. When he showed up 5 hours later and the sun was out, we tried to start the car to see if it would start on it's own. This time when I turned the key that sucker cranked up instantly, without a jump. And it kept working fine until about 8 days later when we got more rain. It seems that the rain or humidity is massing up something. But I don't know what it is.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A likely maybe: Somewhat chance about the rain but it could aggravate the problem. Side post battery terminals that GM uses with a bolt to battery can really corrode inside and go unseen or ignored with the rubber casing covering them. Since new battery and a jump didn't instantly get you power that hidden eyelet like end could be the problem. That battery and a jump to that little bolt only jumped the battery - not on to the car's electrical system.
Those need to be carefully inspected and pull back the rubber if needed or replaced if that's the issue,
