1994 Z28 Chevorlet Camaro
5.7 Liter V8 Engine
First it wouldn't start, and came to find it was the fuel pump.During this time; however, the car would turn over just not start because well it wasn't getting fuel. Replaced that, but there was no electricity going to it. Went on to replacing the relay for the fuel pump, still nothing. Eventually came to discover that the wiring harness for the fuel pump was faulty so i went and tried to getto rig the piece to complete the connection. Well the rig didnt exactly hold up to well, and wires ended up falling apart. This lead to another attempt to test the actual wires being used. While doing this two of the wires (one positive one negative touched, and sparked a bit (yeah a spark almost went into my gas tank full of gasoline). After this occured the problem started. After this short circuit my car will not even turn over. Its as if a fuse is blown, but I've tested every fuse the car has to offer. As for the relays there is a clicking sound coming from the ABS relay, and when that is taken out the clicking goes away (This is while trying to start the car). With this relay removed it still wont turn over. As ive said though all the actual relays and fuses are fine each has been inspected and tested, it seems like an electrical malfunction that is not allowing electricity to flow. Yet all other electrical appliances inside the car function normally. Radio still works as do the windows etc. I've done everything to try and solve this problem including buying a new battery. Well thats the background story. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The best advice I can give you is take it ton a reputable shop. You have already done 10 times more damage than what you started with. I'm betting there was never anythinbg wrong with the power supply and you were just checking it at the wrong time since it only powers for 2 seconds when the key is turned on.

Appliances as in radio, windows, seats, lights, etc
And yes my next step is a shop, but thats not possible til the weekend. As I said any advice on how to go about finding the reason it won't start would be appreciated but saying take it to a shop doesn't help at all. and I'm 100% sure the wiring for the pump was bad because when I turned the key it was completely unresponsive (i know this because it was outside the tank) and when I tested the connection I completed the circuit and it worked beautifully.
I mean I really don't think the computer got fried, I'm leaning more towards a bad ground or messed up wire.

The best thing you can do for your car right now is leave it alone. You have no idea what you are doing or even how things work. There isn't supposed to be any power there when the key is left on. You are just creating more problems every time you think you're fixing something.

What are you using to test for voltage to the fuel pump?
Check your PCM IGN fuse 5 15 amp in the IP fuse block since you been shorting stuff out.
There are two wires as you stated at the pump sender. One would of been grey and the other black. The grey wire comes from the fuel pump relay which is energized by the PCM.
When you turn the key on, you should feel the fuel pump relay click and then click again after several seconds. If you feel the relay clicking, that means the engine computer is sending power to the coil side of the relay. When the relay closes, power is supposed to go to the fuel pump on the grey wire.
Check to see if the relay is clicking when you cycle the ignition on, then come back with your result.

Yea I was thinking the same thing with the short but electricity flows through the system still. To be honest its probably the connection going to the starter or maybe the alternator got fried.
When I try to start the car the only relay that clicks is the ABS relay.
I have actually since towed it to a shop but I will post the results following. Electrical is just something im not gonna mess with.
