I reset the security alarm on a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2. Now the Security light wont go off and the vehicle wont start. I've tried to open the doors with the keys locking n unlocking. i turned for the key on for 30 mins in the vehicle and the headlight just kept blinking and the security light is still on and the vehicle still wont start. If anyone has any suggestions or knows how to fix it PLZ PLZ contact me and let me know.

What about your remote? Does that disarm the alarm?

If the alarm is going off, the engine will not start. The alarm module communicates with the engine computer(PCM) over a CCD network. If the alarm is activated the alarm module will tell the PCM to not let the engine start. The PCM cuts off the fuel injectors.

If you had disconnected the battery, once reconnected the alarm module goes into power up alarm mode. It will flash the lights and keep the engine from starting.

Normally you can disable the alarm by passively unlocking either door or liftgate with the key or actively using the remote.
