First time in 20 yrs it has happened to me. It is not, foot brake switch, all wires in rear are or appear to be ok. I am at a loss,, plzz,, any idear's, some one must have experianced it. What might be happening is that when the tail/headlights are off and the brake or signal is on. The circuit is finding ground through the taillight circuit; through the duel filament of the bulb; back feeding to the headlight switch; allowing the bulb to light. When you turn on the headlights; which supplies power to that portion of the circuit; the two powers cancel each other out and turns off all the lights. To confirm this, have all the bulbs installed in their sockets; turn on both or all three (brake tail & turn) lights. Now with one end of a jumper wire connected to a known good ground; touch the side of the light bulb’s metal base, with the other end of the jumper. If the bulb lights that’s the problem, lack of ground for that circuit. Dan.
