My ford will run flawlessly for a while and then it won't start. It will turn over but just not start. What about cleaning the relay connection box with contact cleaner?? Will that help?? My Ranger has about 190,000 miles on it. It is a 2.3L 4 cylinder. Have tried replacing relay(fuel pump) and waiting for it to cool off plus hitting the relay box. It started back up on all occasions but problem still exists . It is very frustrating because I never know when it will not start. Can you help? OK, my truck went off on me again today. I tried removing and putting the relay back on again several times, did not start. Let it cool off , did not start. So I then decided to disconnect the ground cable on the battery, left it off for about 3 minutes then connected it again. Truck started. What is going on with my truck?? Can't anyone help, or give me a clue on what is wrong with it?
