Radio trouble with 2000 Galant Sign In

I recently bought this car and when I did the radio didn't work because of the anti-theft device on it. It needed a code so I called several dealers untill I got it for free and it now works. Except, that everytime I turn the car off, the radio resets again and I have to input the code all over again. It's nothing serious, the radio works fine. It would just be nice to have this fixed. It's the stock radio as far as I know. I've also checked all the fuses and nothing seems to be wrong with them. I'm thinking it's a wiring problem.

It sounds like the memory wire is not getting constant power. The memory wire is the thing that keeps all your radio presets, time and settings. Once the power supply is lost to it, or intermittent, it shuts down all your presets. If you have a manual for the radio see if you can't identify which is the radio wire in the harness (usually yellow or blue) and get it to constant power supply. Let me know.

Hmmm. Thanks, I don't have a manual for the radio, but I'm sure I'll be able to find something online. I'll get back to you when I've found it.

I got it to work by just messing with the wires some. I guess they were lose. Thanks.
