The truck starts runs then the dash shuts off and the transmission comes out of gear. Then once you stop it comes back on. Also shifting seems to effect the issues. I'm ok with cars but what the F#$k

"OK with cars" is a long way from diagnosing a complicated electrical problem on a vehicle that has computers running everything. This is probably beyond your abilities and equipment. The one thing you can check is all the grounds throughout the vehicle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

There is one from the alt I cleaned and rebolted. Also to the one coming up from the transmission area and the block. Where are they under the truck? Also are they close to where the transmissions moving part when shifting from revere to drive?

I can't tell you where the grounds are on every vehicle made. You just need to look.

Check for power on the IGN 0 fuse in the fuse block on the left side of the IP when the problem is occurring. That fuse protects the power circuits for the transmission controller and the IPC. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
