On Board computer still acting up

I have a 2001 Chevy Impala..6cyl and 48,000 miles. I had a computer installed a little over year ago. The symptoms were dash lights blinking with a clicking noise when the ignition was turned on. And of corse it wouldn't turn over...The car has been garaged since then because of family issues. It'd been driven less than 50 miles. When I tryed to start it the other day it started doing the same thing as before. I went to the dealership that replaced the new computer and he said the warranty had just run out. Maybe by a month or so...Is there some way I could know for sure the computer was bad? Thanks...

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Theres two lights... One is under the odometer gage nd there's one to the right under the RPM gage..both click on and off and also the radio clicks and makes a odd noise...Pete

are these illumination lamps or indicator lamps?

Hi, thanks again for trying to figure out my problem..I'm srry about my mechanical short comings but what would the difference be in "illumination" or "indictator" lights...I've been trying to put a charge on the battery. Not sure if it's takeing it or not..I can put the battery back in and turn the ignition on and see what exactly is happening and let you know if that will help...Pete

Isa it just a light that lights up the dash at night or is it one of the warning lights?
