Need help with my 1962 Ford Falcon wiring Sign In

I am fixing up my 1962 Ford Falcon and I am trying re-wire my original regulator, the problem is, the previous owner did not install it correctly so I dont have anything to go off of. Does anyone know what order the wiring goes, by the color? I am kind of new to this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need help with my 1962 Ford Falcon wiring Sign In

You are talking about the box voltage regulator - right? Quick look showed '56 to '62 may have all been similar for many Ford products. I do have a Service Trade Edition (huge book back when) near fallen apart but it might have colors listed.

That isn't near me to look right now but will if all else fails.

Just know that there are serious Falcon clubs out there if we strike out here. Just please say what colors you have and best guess is three wires that screw to the thing if so that would help me some.

Don't mess it up again but some used letter marks on the regulator like "F" = field, "B" = battery (bear with me - that's a long time ago) and probably one that triggers an idiot light on dash.

Is the existing wiring there but just thought to be hooked up wrong? What color wires do you see now for it?

Great find HT. From what I could make out the left of three wires is yellow+black, middle is black + white, and right is plain black in my view. Does that jive if you have better clarity?
