2002 Infinity QX4 Bought at auction and do not have prior history. Bought this car due to wires hanging down from dash and no one wanted it. I removed the factory radio and pulled lots of unecessary wires as well as the fm modulator for the DVD sound and a sound filter. The antenna wire had been cut and I removed the entire antenna assembly and wires. I reconnected the radio while I wait for an antenna to come in. Now I have multiple problems. Usually, but not always, when turning high beam lights on, the entire dashboard will flash off then come back on as well as the air bag warning light and override light coming on, the roof console with temp and direction will also flash. When turning off the car, usually but now always, there will be a ticking sound coming from under the driver dashboard and the door locks will not work by either fob or inside switch - to correct this problem, I simply put the key back in, turn it to accessory on and then back off - the ticking will go away and the locks will work; if this happens at night, along with the ticking and the locks not working, the headlights will go off and once I put the key in and go to accessory on, the lights will come back on and stay on as they should after I remove the key. I am wondering if this could be a loose ground or an ignition switch problem.
