My turn signal to the L works fine, however trying to signal R and all the lights flash also. It started doing this when I replaced a burnt out bulb. Now, all bulbs are fine, contacts are clean, etc. The vehicle is a 1987 Nissan P/U with 2WD. Is there a flasher thing somewhere to replace or some other problem I may have overlooked? Many thanks to anyone who can help get me going again! JJ

Did you replace the bulb with the correct one? Check to make sure that if that one bulb does both brake lights and running lights it is a dual filament bulb. If you put a single filament bulb in then you will backfeed the running lights causing that circuit to energize when you use the turn signals. Steve

Thanks. It was the right front. The bulb I believe is an 1157 but it was single element that I put in. The similar bulbs in the rear are dual element. I'll give that a shot. Many thanks. Just in case however, do you know where the flasher relay might be found on that particular model truck? JJ

You hit the nail on the head. Thanks. I did put in a single element bulb by mistake. The new dual element straightened it right up!!! Many thanks and drinks are on me! JJ

Glad I could help. I was at the 99 Restaurant about a year ago and the place was really busy. I watched a waitress lose a tray of 3 or 4 glasses and dumped them all over herself. That day, drinks were on her! LOL Steve
