Issue With Blinkers Sign In

I have no idea what could be going on here. Maybe an expert has a clue?

GMC Sierra 1500 Pickup
Blinker put into the "right" position does not work at all.
Blinker put into the "left" position flashes very fast on the dashboard indicator & in the left mirror, and it does not flash at all in the tail light and works perfect in the front blinker.

Any clue?

Re: Issue With Blinkers Sign In

Left side problem is a blown bulb or a bad board on the turn signal in the rear. Right side is dependent on if the outside lights light up or not. If the outside lights do not light up, the turn signal switch is probably bad. If it lights up and does not blink, more than likely a flasher unit.

Re: Issue With Blinkers Sign In

**UPDATE**

My first post was based on the symptoms reported to me by my wife. Since we've both been home and I've had time to take a look at the vehicle myself, I've noticed the following additional problems.

With the headlamps on, the back lights do not work. The brake lights do work however. Also the dome light in the cab does not come on. I also discovered the "left turn signals and sidemarkers" fuse was out. So lets review all symptoms.

- All right flashers do not work at all.
- Front and middle (mirror LED) flashers do work, but flash very fast.
- Back left flasher does not work at all.
- Dome light does not come on.
- Left turn signals and sidemarkers fuse (10) is blown.
- Rear tail lights do not work.
- Rear brake lights DO work.

I replaced the rear bulb and blown fuse. None of the problems went away and the new fuse blew again immediately. Any idea now? I fear it could be a short or a bad panel or switch so I'll likely be taking it to an auto electric shop in the morning.

If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them.

**ANOTHER UPDATE**

I took my truck to an electrical shop this morning. It turns out our dogs chewed up wires underneath the truck which was causing the fuse to blow.

After I left, I noticed the dome light still wasn't working. The bulb didn't look blown but I'll take another look later. Hopefully there's not another wire somewhere.

Stupid dogs. Pirate
