Intermittent turn signal failure on 98 Grand Voyager Sign In

The turn signals on our 98 Plymouth Grand Voyager quick working sometimes. Neither the interior indicator nor the exterior turn lights work. When we turn the engine off and then restart the engine, they will usually work again. we've taken it to several mechanics and the problem never shows itself in the presence of a mechanic. We HAVE had the turn signal lever replaced a few times because the intermittent wiper controls fail to work consistently. They are currently working (and work when the turn signals do not).

Some days the problem never shows itself. Some days the signals work hardly at all. (again, the proximity of a mechanic seems to be a factor.)

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Intermittent turn signal failure on 98 Grand Voyager Sign In

Sounds like a faulty Flasher.

These are known for intermittent failures.
The turn signals and Hazard warning lamps both utilize the same Electronic Flasher.
Replaced many for this type of concern.

Not too expensive at Autozone,Approx $15.00 if you wanted to try it.

Just an idea....
Usually dont recommend tossing parts in an attempt to repair.

Keep us posted if you get it fixed
