Immobiliser and alarm gone on Peugeot 106

My 1997 Peugeot 106's immobiliser has stopped working and the break down guy said the electronics had gone on it. It was working intermittently but has stopped altogether now. To make things worse, I have lost the alram button, which needs to be pressed before I can even get to the immobiliser. Does anyone know if these problems can be remedied or if it is worth it, as the car has done almost 100k and has a dent and rattling exhaust? SHould I scrap it? Your help would be greatly appreciated, Simon.

can they just disconnect the immobiliser from the car for you?they did this in my peugeot as was doing the same thing and id lost the remote too but it was a 1995 106 so maybe wired differently.
