Sign In I have a 1991 GMC Jimmy 4 wheel Drive 4.3 engine that I need to replace the ignition switch in. Does anyone no how difficult this is to do and just what do I need to do this job. I do have a steering wheel puller and a lot of tools and consider myself a fair mechanic. It's on top of the column, half way down. Lowering the column will make it easier.
