83 chevy silverado,have 12 volts at batt,current to fuse block,all fuses check ok,new starter with connections ok.this is the only place I find current. I have voltage all the way to fuse block on firewall.Inside ,when I turn on ignition switch I get absolutly nothing. No lights nothing nowhere.Does voltage flow thru starter switch before fuses block?

Some fuses should have voltage to them at all times while others will only have voltage with the ignition switch in the run or accessory position.
If you haven’t, check the fuses with a test light and the ignition on.
Like I said some of the fuses will have power while some won’t until the ignition is turned on but they are all protected by fusible links. A fusible link is a short section of smaller gauged wire (Approx. 3 inches long) that connects close to the source voltage (battery) and to the circuit (wire) it’s protecting. You’ll find these fuse links (3 or 4 of them) either at the starter’s main battery cable connection or under the hood on the firewall; housed in an insulated junction block. Use a test light to test the links; they can be burnt electrically but not show any sign of melted wire insulation.
There are a couple of other place we could go with this that may be causing the problem; like the bulkhead connector or the ignition switch; but for now tell us whether the fuse links are ok and if all fuses will light the test light. Don’t forget to turn on your parking lights when you test the under dash fuses. The dash light fuse will only have power after the switch is turned on.
