How to recover odom reading

I have a 2002 Pontiac Montana It just went up in flames. Is there any way of powering the odometer. The battery exploded and the wiring is toast. The dash is pretty much intact.

WOW! Haven't heard of a battery exploding since forever without some provocation. Yes they do make hydrogen - sometimes lots if shorted. No matter - it happened. Not knowing extent of wiring damage you may have to get a new harness or underhood wiring.
I think this era gets info on odometer and speed via wires to transmission. If it just doesn't light up that's another.
Pls clarify if this is speedometer isn't working or that it isn't recording miles (odometer.)
