How to deativate the immobilizer on a 97 honda civic Sign In

Hi Guys, newbie here :)

have a 97 honda civic which we cant start because the immobilizer part of the key has broken. wondering if anyone knows a way to override this, as we've been told we need to pay a ridiculous sum of money for a new ignition. any advice would be greatly appreciated as we are losing a heap of rego with it sitting idle.

Sorry, but there is no way to bypass the security system. It wouldn't be much of a security system if it could be defeated that easily. It's integrated right into the operating system.

Thank you for taking the time to reply Hammer Time, l do appreciate it.

I was afraid that would be the case and unless l had the good fortune of finding a car thief in here who could know how these things are done l am not surprised at the answer. Looks like the only thing now is a new ignition.

Thanks again. Smile
