Heater blower resistor Sign In
I have a 1996 chevy sliverado PU. My Blower only works on HIGH. Auto parts store said it was the blower resistor and sold me the one for my vehicle. I have a haynes manual and looked all over the web for where it is located. I had the blower out and could not find anything that looked close to having the same size plug. Thank you in advance for the help. A diagram would be helpful.

Only could find a pic and this might be wrong?

I can't find a good diagram but this should be right near the blower motor - two screws and the plug. Best I could find for now??

Alldatapro shows it as on top of the plenum inside the cab above the blower motor. You might be able to rempove the glove box and see it. It says you need to loosen the dash and pull it backwards to replace. Look behind the glove box first.

Thank you. I just got it installed. Was very tight quarters but only had to remove glovebox and bracket that held relay and 2 wire connections. My seven year old could of done it easier with his small hands.
