Heater blower diagnosis

1999 Pontiac Grand Prix: My friends heater dosen't work. She had the blower moter replaced and it still didn't work. I checked the fuses and they were fine. I checked the relay switch by putting a fused jumper wire accross the switch side of the relay and it didn't come on. I put a test light across the the control side of the circuit and it didn't light. So I'm guessing that it isn't the relay switch. I tried to put direct current to the blower moter and see if it would come on. It didn't. When I pulled the probe out of the connecter the heater started blowing. Now two days later my friend called and told me her heater is no longer working. Can you give me some advise on how to diagnose this problem?

Motor didn't work with direct power! It must be missing or have bad grounding - add ground to housing or flare or clean up the connections and/or replace if needed.
Looks like both power and ground come by ONE plug right there - is that where you tested and added power?
