Headlights dim on 94 Jeep Sign In

Just bought a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The headlights are very, very dim. I disconnected the battery while the engine was running but the engine kept running. Alternator must not be out. What should I check?

First off, don't ever disconnect the battery with the engine running on a computer car.

You'll have to check all your power connections and grounds.

FOLKS, THAT TEST WAS FOR BRAINLESS TESTING DURING THE EISENHOWER ADMINISTRATION! For this thread, now there's probably lots more to worry about that blew than dim headlight problem which was probably just a weak ground common to both.

Arggh!
