Headlight / running light woes in 2000 Saturn LW wagon Sign In

My 2000 Saturn LW series wagon with the 2.2 litre engine lost the daytime running lights at the same time the high beams lost their ability to light. The high beam indicator on the instrument panel is always on, the daytime running light indicator on the instrument panel is never on. Parking lights and lo beam headlights are OK. I did replace the headlight switch / turn signal switch on the stalk (I replaced the entire stalk), but symptoms are still the same. The car is a Canadian model, so I don't know if our daytime running light standards and parts are different from down in the U.S. Is there a relay or some other switch I need to find and replace? Thanks for any advice you might have.
