I have a 6 cylinder 93 Ford Probe with head lights that are suppose to flip up and down out of the hood. The car was stationary/non operational for about a year, and during that time the headlight slowly went from a downward/closed position to an upright/open position. Since then then car is now operational. however, the headlights won't go up and down in response to switch. The light will turn on via the switch, but the lamps won't go down when turned off. Thought it might be a motor issue, but doubt that both motors (one for each light I assume) would go out at the same time. Could the relay in the switch be malfunctioning? Not sure if this is an electrical or mechanical issue. Please advise. Thanks for your consideration.
