Hard wired radio blowing fuses Login - Sign Up

I hard wired a radio to my 96 camry LE. If my radio isn't screwed in, and i turn my lights on my radio shuts off. If it is screwed in and I turn my lights on my my tail light fuse blows. And my dashlights don't work either way. any help or suggestions would be very appriciated.

It sounds like you have the lighting wire shorted to ground withing the radio. That's why it only blows when the radio is bolted in. That's when it gets grounded.
The tail light fuse supplies the dash lights which is also the radio light.
