Fuel Injectors not pulsing	Sign In

I have a 1993 Chevy pickup with a 5.0 L engine. It is TBI. It quit cranking/running. I can spray starter fluid in it and it fires and runs until the fluid is gone. The fuel pump is pumping fuel to the TB and it has the correct fuel pressure. It has good spark at the plugs.

But I have no injector pulse.

I have tried unplugging the connector at the Throttle Position Sensor and cranking the engine to see if it was stuck in the wide-open position. This did not work. I’m out of ideas or things to check.

Check all the fuses. There are 2 fuses that feed the computer. They are labeled ECM A(or 1) and ECM B(or 2).

Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

The fuses are good...
Are there any other sensors that can control the injectors? like the way the Throttle Position Sensor will cut off the injectors to clear a flood condition.

Can the Ignition Module cause this to happen?

If the PCM has failed, is it just by chance that the Injectors are the only things effected?

Check the injector wiring at the throttle body closely. They were bad about getting pinched under the air filter housing.
